TNA Re-Signs Former X Champion, Hires Two Indy Talents
New stars to replace the old...
TNA has announced the re-signing of former X Division, Television, and Tag Team Champion Robbie E, who has been with the company since 2010. The company has also hired independent talents Allysin Kay and Caleb Konley.
Formerly Rob Eckos, Robbie E joined TNA with a gimmick inspired by MTV show Jersey Shore, and soon engaged in a storyline with cast member Jenni "JWoww" Farley. He would go on to form a team with Rob Terry, and when that dissolved, he and former Big Brother cast member Jessie Godderz came together as The BroMans, two-time TNA World Tag Team Champions. In 2014, Robbie and then-girlfriend Brooke "Tessmacher" Adams appeared as contestants on The Amazing Race.
Allysin Kay, who broke out in Detroit-area independent promotions in the late 2000s, has gotten experience working for many of the premier women-focused wrestling leagues in the world. She's worked for Women Superstars Uncensored and Shimmer Women Athletes, as well as promotions in Japan and Europe. She'll be competing in TNA under the name Sienna.
Caleb Konley is a rising independent star. Currently the Full Impact Pro Heavyweight Champion, Konley has competed all over the country, including in EVOLVE and Ring of Honor. He's a talented wrestler whose attitude and style are reminiscent of Dolph Ziggler's and he should be a strong addition to TNA.
