Following in the path of Mickie James, current TNA Knockouts Champion Jordynne Grace made an appearance at last night's WWE Royal Rumble.

Of course, James entered the women's Rumble whilst the Knockouts Champion back in 2022, and Grace likewise did the same this year, entering at #5. She may not have scored any eliminations, but it was an impressive outing for the Juggernaut, lasting 12 minutes before being eliminated by Bianca Belair.

As heavily rumoured and reported prior to the Royal Rumble, Naomi made her WWE return at the Premium Live Event, coming in at #2 and going over an hour before being eliminated by the debuting Jade Cargill. Having previously competed in TNA as Trinity, the Rumble gave Naomi the chance to lock horns once more with Grace; Grace having dethroned Trinity to win the Knockouts Title at the Hard to Kill PPV earlier this month. This confrontation was also marked by a nice "TNA" chant from the Tropicana Field crowd.

For now, it would appear as if this Jordynne Grace appearance was a one-off and not a case of her joining WWE. This is merely another step in the Paul Levesque-led WWE nowadays being more open to working with other promotions, as shown by Shinsuke Nakamura working for NOAH last year, NXT's Charlie Dempsey working for AJPW at the turn of the year, and the aforementioned appearance by the then-TNA-contracted Mickie James in 2022.

Following the Royal Rumble, Jordynne Grace took to X that this won't be the last WWE has seen of TNA...
