Tommy Dreamer Confirms More New Japan Talent Coming To IMPACT Wrestling
Could SANADA be on his way to become a two-time X Division Champion?
Tommy Dreamer has confirmed that more talent from New Japan Pro Wrestling will be heading to IMPACT Wrestling, although he refrained from saying who or when.
Dreamer, a creative writer and producer for IMPACT, stated this on Busted Open Radio with Ryan McKinnell ahead of IMPACT's Under Siege special on IMPACT Plus. FITE TV confirmed the news on Twitter for those who weren't listening.
A working relationship between IMPACT and NJPW has been known publically since the middle of February, where it was announced FinJuice - the pairing of David Finlay and Juice Robinson - would be arriving in IMPACT imminently. They've since captured the World Tag Team Championships, with Bullet Club's El Phantasmo also having debuted.
With regards to who could make the travel over, Kazuchika Okada, Tetsuya Naito, and SANADA were all teased in the trailer for this year's Slammiversary pay-per-view, alongside Pro Wrestling NOAH's The Great Muta. They've all been in IMPACT before, with SANADA being a former X Division Champion, making a 17 July return all the more likely.
Considering how well IMPACT have booked FinJuice and El Phantasmo thus far, it makes perfect sense as to why further New Japan talents would be on their way to the IMPACT Zone.
