AEW boss Tony Khan believes fans are seeing the best women's wrestling in company history. In fact, Tony reckons his women's division is streets ahead of the female ranks elsewhere, and called AEW's division the "best in the world right now".

Khan made these comments during an interview with WGN Radio's Iridian Fierro.

Continuing, Tony credited workers like Toni Storm and Mercedes Mone as key figures in the women's division on Dynamite, Collision and Rampage. The AEW chief then went on to applaud wrestlers such as Kris Statlander and Willow Nightingale for their hard work too.

Tony's words are already taking some flak on socials, but it's hard to imagine he'd say anything else. Do people think the guy who runs AEW would come out and say, 'Nah, WWE do women's wrestling better than us'? That's unrealistic.

Storm has been a rip-roaring success for the women's division because she actually has an identifiable character and ample TV time. Critics of AEW presumably want to see more of that, but Khan believes things are on the right track.

He's very happy with the female roster right now.
