Tony Khan Announces PAC Tribute Show (AEW News)

This week's AEW Dynamite will be in tribute to PAC.

As announced by Tony Khan at last night's Ring of Honor TV tapings, this week's AEW Dynamite will be a special tribute show dedicated to Benjamin 'PAC' Satterley, who tragically passed away on Sunday at the age of just 40.

Those ROH tapings started with Tony paying an emotional tribute to PAC and leading a ten-bell salute in his honour. With the tapings taking place from Jacksonville, Florida, the AEW President talked about launching AEW and having PAC appear at the company's first-ever press conference, describing how beloved the Geordie was and calling him "an absolutely fantastic wrestler and an absolutely fantastic human being."

Khan confirmed that this week's Dynamite will be a tribute to PAC, adding that any wrestlers competing on Dynamite or last night's ROH tapings were doing so "voluntarily" out of choice.

This week's Dynamite takes place at Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania's Petersen Events Center, an arena that had PAC and Jon Moxley wrestle to a time-limit draw the first time that AEW ran there back in 2019.

News of PAC's passing broke late on Sunday, with AEW announcing this absolutely awful news on the company's social media channels. As the wrestling world continues to pay tribute to somebody who was a genuine game-changer that helped shape the state of modern-day professional wrestling and, more importantly, somebody who was, by all accounts, an exceptional person, details emerged overnight to confirm that PAC was found unresponsive in a rental car outside a CAVA restaurant on Sunday afternoon. Local authorities have stated that there are "no indications of foul play and the circumstances surrounding the death are not considered suspicious".
