Tony Khan Confirms Kenny Omega's World Title Opponent For AEW Full Gear 2021

Who will be stepping up to challenge the Best Bout Machine at next month's Full Gear PPV?

While many a wrestling fan has been hoping to see it, Tony Khan has now confirmed that 'Hangman' Adam Page will be challenging for Kenny Omega's AEW World Championship at next month's Full Gear PPV.

Khan made this announcement during an appearance on the My Mom's Basement podcast, with him discussing this year's upcoming Eliminator Tournament. Of course, last year saw Omega defeat Page in the Eliminator Tournament final and earn a shot at the AEW World Title then held by Jon Moxley.

"Last year it [the Eliminator Tournament] culminated in Kenny vs. Hangman, which is very fitting because now, as we go into Full Gear, this year we're back and now Kenny is the World Champion and he's facing Hangman."

Having taken a couple of months away from AEW programming to welcome his first child into the world, Hangman Page returned on last Wednesday's Dynamite as the victorious Joker in the Casino Ladder Match.

That win means that Page has a guaranteed shot at the AEW World Championship, but it remained to seen just when exactly the former AEW Tag Team Champ would opt to take that shot. As per these recent Tony Khan comments, it seems that, as many had speculated, Page will be going up against the Best Bout Machine at this year's Full Gear PPV.

Emanating from Minneapolis' Target Center, AEW Full Gear 2021 takes place on Saturday 13 November.
