Tony Khan Reveals That THIS AEW Star Is Injured

Another name just joined AEW's growing injury list ahead of Forbidden Door.

Kyle O'Reilly is currently rehabbing a mystery injury.

AEW boss Tony Khan broke the news on Kyle's injury during the latest episode of All Elite's Unrestricted podcast. Khan didn't go into details on exactly what's wrong with O'Reilly, but he did say that "it's a big loss" to the active roster ahead of major events like Sunday's Forbidden Door pay-per-view.

Kyle hasn't wrestled since losing to Jon Moxley in a hot match on the 8 June edition of Dynamite. That was a soft number one contendership bout designed to get Mox to Forbidden Door for a crack at Hiroshi Tanahashi, but O'Reilly shone throughout himself.

Tony recognised that, and said that Kyle has "been on fire" lately. In fact, the AEW overseer was very complimentary about O'Reilly's work, which bodes well for him when he's able to return to in-ring action.

Kyle did accompany Bobby Fish to ringside for a match on last week's episode of Rampage. There, Sting made a grand return and smacked O'Reilly in the nuts with his baseball bat before saving Darby Allin from a beatdown.
