With Tony Khan set to make a "major" announcement on-screen, in-person during tonight's episode of AEW Dynamite, many have been speculating what huge news the AEW Chairman has spent the past two weeks teasing.

In a new report from Andrew Zarian of the Mat Men Podcast and Wrestling Observer, this announcement could well pertain to an agreement between AEW and the HBO Max streaming service. Per Zarian's sources, the belief is that a deal has been agreed between these two parties.

Additionally, Zarian also noted how another significant rumour right now is that AEW has secured the rights to "an international pro wrestling promotion's catalogue". What this means remains to be seen, as does what exactly Khan's big announcement will ultimately end up being.

Ever since Tony Khan started hyping this announcement a couple of weeks ago, speculation has ranged from a supershow with New Japan Pro Wrestling, to a Ring of Honor tribute show, to Khan purchasing ROH, to the launching of an AEW streaming service, to All Elite Wrestling heading to the UK for a PPV or tour, to a slew of new signings ranging from Jeff Hardy to Bray Wyatt to Cesaro.

While speculation is great, we'll all know for definite what this major news will be when AEW Dynamite takes place in just a matter of hours.
