Top AEW Champion Injured?
One of AEW's top title-holders appears to have picked up a knock recently...
Sammy Guevara suffered a scratched cornea while wrestling Darby Allin on last week's episode of AEW Dynamite.
The reigning TNT Champion has revealed as much on Twitter, stating the following:-
Finally able to open my eyes I suffered a scratched cornea on Wednesday.

It doesn't seem as though the war wound is serious enough to necessitate any time away from the ring, however. As confirmed last week, Guevara is due to defend his TNT Championship against Andrade El Idolo on this Friday's episode of Rampage.
Andrade played a huge role in influencing the outcome of Guevara and Allin's latest match. After a fierce, competitive war on Dynamite, El Idolo and his assistant, Jose, interfered. While the latter pulled Sting away from ringside, Andrade clocked Darby with an iPad while the former TNT Champion was on the top rope, allowing Sammy to take advantage of the situation by nailing his GTH finisher and scoring another successful retention.
Recent weeks have seen Andrade attempt to coax Allin out of his alliance with Sting, whom the former NXT Champion appears to think is Darby's dad, boss, or both. It's a wild ride.
Guevara's second (and current) TNT Title reign commenced with a unification bout against the outgoing Cody Rhodes on Dynamite's 26 January episode.
