Top AEW Star Likes Tweet Critical Of Booking

On a night of social media controversy, a "liked" tweet suggests all is not well.

On what overnight felt like something of a reckoning for the AEW women's division, one of its top stars hinted, cryptically, that all is not well.

Ibou of WrestlePurists tweeted his thoughts on it:

The tweet was then liked by Saraya, whose heel turn, ironically, catalysed the storyline. Two things before proceeding: firstly, you can never rule out a slip of the finger. Secondly, the tweet Saraya slapped a like on moments beforehand praised AEW as "fantastic".

Complaints have been levelled at AEW's Women's division effectively since its inception, and a production snafu, in which a sign emblazoned "Book the women's division better" was visible on Wednesday's Dynamite, appears to have reignited the conversation.

The approach to it could be fairly labelled as apathetic. Virtually every week, just one women's match takes place on Dynamite and Collision, which is often cited by fans as evidence of a lack of conviction.

Whether this debate actually brings about some introspection or further commitment to the division remains to be seen.
