Top AEW Star Makes Surprise Return At Forbidden Door

This long-absent AEW favourite made their shock return at Forbidden Door.

Forbidden Door 2024 Britt Baker

After over nine months out of action, AEW's Britt Baker made her long-awaited return at last night's Forbidden Door show.

The former AEW Women's Champion made her presence known following Mercedes Moné's win over Stephanie Vaquer, with that victory meaning that not just is Moné the AEW TBS Champion but now also the NJPW Strong Women's Champion.

As Moné celebrated her win, Baker's music hit and she made her way out to a great reaction from the Long Island crowd. While she stopped short of heading to the ring, D.M.D. and the CEO instead stared each other down from a distance, teasing fans with what would be a first-time-ever match.

Britt Baker last wrestled on the 16 September edition of AEW Collision where - in Collision's only ever women's main event - the Pittsburgh native came up short in her hometown against then-TBS Champion Kris Statlander. Since then, Baker has been out with what is believed to have been back issues.

Immediately following Britt's shock return, AEW President Tony Khan took to X to announce the Role Model will be appearing on this week's Dynamite.
