Top AEW Star Unhappy With Recent Booking

AEW star less than pleased with recent presentation, per reports.

'Switchblade' Jay White is understood to be less than thrilled with his recent presentation in AEW.

PWTorch's Wade Keller commented that the former IWGP Heavyweight Champion "wasn't thrilled, based on what I've been told, [with] how things went in the build and the match against MJF." As a result, Keller believes that White may use this as motivation for a strong run in AEW's Continental Classic tournament.

White's Continental Classic run started with a win over Rush on Wednesday's Dynamite. This came after a widely-criticised defeat to MJF at Full Gear 2023 (18 November), where 'Switchblade' was felled to an AEW World Champion who'd already wrestled once that event and was carrying a leg injury following an earlier angle.

The MJF defeat was White's first pinfall loss since signing with AEW earlier this year. In spite of its nature, Keller notes that Jay is "still among the top choices for Tony Khan to build around as a top-top star in his company for years to come."

As well as Rush, White's Continental Classic bracket pits him against Mark Briscoe, Jon Moxley, Swerve Strickland, and Jay Lethal in the round-robin competition.
