Top Free Agents Backstage At AEW Dynamite?

Another pair of top-level free agents were set to be backstage at AEW Dynamite last night.

The Briscoes

Ring Of Honor legends Jay and Mark Briscoe were scheduled to be backstage at last night's episode of AEW Dynamite in Norfolk, Virginia.

Fightful Select reported as much prior to the show. One of the outlet's sources claimed that the Briscoes would be visiting during the taping, though there was no indication that they would be signing with Tony Khan's promotion. Jay and Mark live under three hours away from the venue in Delaware.

Dynamite passed without the Briscoes making an appearance, and there is currently no word on whether or not they ended up visiting the show.

The Briscoe Brothers have effectively been with Ring Of Honor since 2002, though they took a break from professional wrestling between 2004 and 2006. They are the most decorated tag team in company history with 11 title reigns to their name, while Jay is also a distinguished singles wrestler in the company, winning the World Championship twice.

Though the Briscoes have been with ROH for a long, long time, the promotion's October announcement that it was going on a four-month hiatus starting in December was accompanied by a reporting stating that all contracted talent had been released. They, like AEW newcomer Jay Lethal (who debuted at Full Gear 2021), are free to sign elsewhere whenever they please.
