Blake Monroe hitting WWE's main roster is an inevitability, but will she land on Raw or SmackDown?

Fightful Select is reporting that WWE top brass recently "discussed" a call-up from NXT to the main roster for Blake Monroe. Those working behind the scenes on flagship brand Raw also believe that the former AEW star will end up on team red going forwards.

Monroe was involved in a controversial NXT Women's North American Title change in mid-December - Thea Hail accidentally won the belt when everyone concerned botched the bout's finish. That was unfortunate, but it shouldn't define Blake's time on the developmental brand or greatly affect her future plans in WWE as a whole.

She has a very, very bright future. Put it that way!

Fightful also noted that Monroe's immediate creative could be changing as soon as this week. That's in line with promotions/teases for the likes of Trick Williams, Jordynne Grace, Je'Von Evans and Oba Femi in recent weeks. All of those stars have added some fresh life to Raw and SmackDown by showing up in person or being hyped via vignettes.

It remains to be seen exactly which camp Blake will fall into. She could get the same introductory video package treatment as Oba, or she could show up in Raw GM Adam Pearce's office fairly soon on Monday nights. Both would be acceptable ways to introduce her to a much larger audience.

Fightful's post closed by saying that "additional names [are] expected to be called up" in January. It's an exciting time for those who enjoy the NXT product. Fans of the third brand could see some familiar faces rule Raw and SmackDown heading through WrestleMania 42 season.
