Adam Cole was taken to hospital after suffering an injury on last night's special Grand Slam episode of AEW Dynamite, ending the night walking on crutches.

Fightful Select reports that after getting hurt during MJF's World Championship main event against Samoa Joe, Cole was in "obvious pain backstage." Hence, he went to the hospital.

There is currently no word on the extent of Cole's injuries or how long he'll be out.

Cole was visibly limping during his interference in MJF vs. Joe. Sprinting to the ring ahead of the finish, the ROH Tag Team Champion leapt from the raised ramp, seemingly taking a rough landing. From there, he was clearly struggling to move around, though Cole finished his spots nonetheless, helping MJF take the victory over Joe.

The 34-year-old has had rough like with injuries over the past year or so. A severe concussion suffered while competing at June 2022's Forbidden Door event sidelined Cole for over a month. He returned that August, but the concussion continued taking a toll, putting Cole out of action until the following March amid fears he may never wrestle again.

Best wishes to Adam in his recovery.
