Top WWE NXT 2.0 Contract Expiring Soon
No signs of renewal on the horizon for this NXT 2.0 star and their expiring contract.
Candice LeRae's WWE contract will expire this spring, according to Fightful Select.
The report states that LeRae's deal is yet to be renewed. WWE sources noted that on top of this, they don't expect the former NXT Women's Tag Team Champion to return to the company before her current deal runs out.
LeRae has been absent largely from television since August 2021, when she and husband Johnny Gargano announced that they were expecting their first child. The couple's daughter, Quill, was born in February.
While there's currently no word on when Candice intends on returning to wrestling, Fightful state that WWE hasn't frozen her contract. The outlet's WWE sources weren't sure if the promotion could legally do something like that for a wrestler on maternity leave.
With regards to a potential extension, Fightful add that WWE didn't want to bother LeRae with such matters while she adjusts to life as a mother. She and Gargano (who departed WWE when his contract expired last December) remain on good terms with the promotion, who would like to have them back.
Gargano is yet to re-emerge in pro wrestling after becoming a free agent.
