Reigning NXT Champion Finn Bálor would "love it" if WWE gave him the chance to work the 'Fight Pit' cage sometime soon.

Bálor hyped this weekend's TakeOver: Vengeance Day special during an interview with the New York Post, then turned his attention to the cage gimmick. He said he enjoyed watching the first two 'Fight Pit' brawls (Finn hyped up Tommaso Ciampa vs. Timothy Thatcher from the 20 January 2021 NXT in particular), and revealed that'd he be "100%" up for jumping in there himself.

WWE introduced the gimmick to blow off a feud between Thatcher and Riddle on the 27 May 2020 episode, and it was a raging critical success. It's no surprise that they then wanted to run a sequel with Ciampa and Thatcher this year - maybe the 'Pit' could work for a major NXT Title bout too?

That's what Bálor is thinking anyway.

Finn also singled out Timothy Thatcher as one of his favourite workers to watch right now. That might be something to keep an eye on. What if Thatcher himself challenges Bálor to meet him in the 'Fight Pit' later this year?
