In some unfortunate news, it appears that NXT's Tony D'Angelo is set for a spell on the sidelines.

From those in attendance, the Don of NXT is believed to have suffered a shoulder injury at last night's NXT 2.0 live event from Largo, Florida. There, D'Angelo squared off against Cameron Grimes in a bout that was eventually stopped by the referee due to a suspected injury to Tony D's left shoulder.

At this juncture, the full nature of the injury is not known, and the hope obviously is that this is nothing too severe and that D'Angelo will have a swift and full recovery.

Since NXT was relaunched under the NXT 2.0 banner, Tony D'Angelo has become one of the main featured players of the brand. With Troy 'Two Dimes' Donovan and Channing 'Stacks' Lorenzo at this side, Tony D has recently brought Legado del Fantasma into the family - and it appeared as if D'Angelo was being set up to challenge Carmelo Hayes for the NXT North American Championship.
