Drew McIntyre and Sheamus' bruising WWE Raw match went down well with company management.

This is according to a new report from Fightful Select stating that on top of the widespread acclaim the bout received from fans online, WWE officials were happy with what went down as well.

In addition, Sheamus has come in for some well-earned praise lately as well, having delivered a series of high-end in-ring performances in recent weeks.

It is believed that much of McIntyre vs. Sheamus was called in the ring rather than being planned out in advance.

This was the first bout on the card following the customary opening segment. A pay-per-view calibre clash with lots of big momentum swings, it went for longer than 20 minutes and closed when McIntyre smashed Sheamus with a Claymore while his opponent was attempting a Brogue Kick. A tinge of regret flashed across Drew's face as he gazed upon his former friend in victory.

McIntyre and Sheamus have been feuding after working together as friends, with Sheamus turning on Drew a few weeks ago. There is currently no word on whether or not the Raw match was the end of their issues.
