Top WWE Star Injury Doubts Ahead Of WrestleMania 38?
WWE Champion dealing with health issues ahead of major WrestleMania 38 match.
Ronda Rousey has revealed she is dealing with some health issues ahead of WrestleMania 38, where she will challenge for Charlotte Flair's SmackDown Women's Championship.
Speaking on a Facebook gaming stream on Sunday, 20 March, Rousey said that she had been "sick and not feeling good" lately, as well as revealing she has been working through a mouth injury. The former Raw Women's Champion said she has torn her labial frenulum, which is a piece of tissue connecting the upper lip to the gums.
Ronda apologised for how her voice sounded on the stream, citing the above as reasons. She then explained that last week's episode of SmackDown was "a very physical day", leaving her "sore, sick, and tired."
There is currently no indication that her WrestleMania match is in any kind of jeopardy at all. She and Charlotte will fight on the event's first night (2 April), which is expected to be main-evented by 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin's appearance (and suspected brawl) on the KO Show.
Rousey has been back in WWE since late January, ending a near-three-year absence that commenced shortly after her WrestleMania 35 main event opposite Flair and Becky Lynch.
