Top WWE Star Signs Bumper 5-Year Extension!
There's a good chance this wrestler will finish his sparkling career with WWE.
Finn Bálor has put pen to paper on a bumper five-year extension with WWE. That'll keep the 42 year old in the company until he's 47, so there's a solid chance the Judgment Day man plans to hang up his boots under Triple H's umbrella.
The Irishman told 'What's The Story?' that he's "super excited" to ink fresh terms with the market leader. Bálor also admitted he had doubts about whether or not his body would be able to hold up this long, and he also wondered privately if WWE would be interested in keeping him around.
In a fun moment that shows how candid he is about such matters, Finn said: "Fingers crossed they don't fire me".
Finn had just six months remaining on his previous contract before agreeing new terms, and described that as both "a weird time" and "a pretty wild journey". There was a lot of self-reflection, especially because Bálor never actually expected to last this long in the promotion to begin with.
The ex-Prince Devitt figured he'd "maybe last two or three years and go back to Ireland or Japan" when he joined WWE in 2014. He's still playing a key part on TV a full decade on.
