Kevin Owens will be suspended by new SmackDown GM Nick Aldis following an incident on this week's episode. It came when the babyface was working guest commentary duties due to the absence of Corey Graves (who's at home with Carmella following the recent birth of their baby boy).
WWE officials had made it clear to Owens that he'd be in trouble if he put his hands on anyone during the show. Things seemed to be going swimmingly for KO until Austin Theory and Grayson Waller hit ringside to taunt him.
That, obviously, led to a brawl involving Kev. It's possible Owens will now skip a couple of episodes heading through Survivor Series to keep him feeling fresh for a big return post-PLE. That's a guess, but it'd make perfect sense due to Aldis' decree.
KO told Michael Cole and Kevin Patrick, "I've got to go and get suspended" following the scuffle. He can be pleased with his evening's work though; Owens wasn't the smoothest colour analyst you'll ever see, but he did offer something different on guest comms.
It's unclear where his story with Theory and Waller will go. It could be on ice for a while!
