Triple H Supports West Ham And Thinks Andy Carroll Could Be A WWE Superstar

Why does HHH think The Hammers are the Premier League side that come closest to representing his sporting values?

Triple H has declared himself a West Ham United football supporter and has backed The Hammers' number nine Andy Carroll to become a WWE Superstar. The 13-time World Champion - who was in London for NXT's stellar TakerOver pay per view on Wednesday evening - claims that West Ham are the Premier League side that come closest to representing his sporting values. Speaking to ITV News, he said: "West Ham is probably the closest to what we do, with the passion of their fanbase and their loyalty, right? That's the closest to what we do." Although, I think The Game's new found love for the London club may have come from a gift they gave to him after he arrived in the English capital. West Ham presented HHH with his very own shirt, which he shared on Twitter with the caption: 'Thanks for the jersey @whufc_official... The perfect thing to wear for #NXTakeover!' https://twitter.com/TripleH/status/677206805412503553 During the same ITV interview, Hunter was asked which West Ham player, if any, could potentially make it in the WWE, he replied: "Maybe a player like Andy Carroll. He is tall, likes to play it tough with the opposition and has the right looks with the long hair. He could be interesting!" English football and WWE have a fondness for one another after England captain Wayne Rooney's altercation with King Barrett on RAW last month. The King of the Ring goaded the forward into slapping him in the face in a moment that almost sent the internet into meltdown. Given the way that Carroll plays football - or soccer for those of you over in the States - there's little doubting that he could mix it with the very toughest in the WWE ring.
