WWE legend Trish Stratus has paid tribute to AEW's Britt Baker on social media.

Monday saw Baker respond to a tweet from SiriusXM's Busted Open advertising Stratus' interview on the show, which drops today. Britt asked the Busted Open team to tell Trish she said "hi."

This caught Stratus' attention. The WWE Hall of Famer quote-tweeted the reply with the following, praising the "bloody legend" for her hard work and all-round contribution to women's wrestling:-

Vast amounts of praise have come Baker's way over the past year or so, but particularly since she wrestled Thunder Rosa in their brutal, bloody Lights Out match on the 17 March episode of Dynamite. Praised across the board, it will likely go down as a key moment in the development and growth of AEW's women's division, which has come in for mass criticism since the promotion's inception.

Britt is a major part of its ongoing improvement. Having transformed her game since turning heel in early 2020, she has grown into a genuine quarter-hour ratings draw and a complete performer. Increasingly, it feels like it's only a matter of time before she becomes Women's Champion.
