Trish Stratus will battle Charlotte Flair in a potentially enthralling era vs. era clash at WWE SummerSlam 2019 this Sunday, and it sounds like the Canadian is heading back to retirement after facing 'The Queen.'

This comes straight from Trish herself in an interview with Sirius XM Busted Open Radio's Bully Ray and Dave LeGreca.

Saying that the Flair bout "feels like a good ending to me - a real ending," Trish acknowledged that while she officially retired from wrestling in 2006, she'd always be open to returning for something that was challenging or a match/angle that would "do something for someone else." The Charlotte opportunity came up and she thought "gosh, this has to happen."

Trish added the following: "I sort of feel like this is a good final match for me because I don't think that you could do anything more than this."

She's got a point. Sure, WWE could dangle carrots like Ronda Rousey or Becky Lynch in front of her, but Stratus has nothing left to prove in the business and will go down as a Women's Revolution forebearer regardless.

Here's hoping the Charlotte bout delivers on its promise.
