As many had speculated, Edge made his WWE return at last night's SummerSlam premium live event.

Having been off WWE TV for over a month following a beatdown from his now-former stable, the Judgment Day, the Rated-R Superstar made his presence known as Finn Balor and Damian Priest took on Rey and Dominik Mysterio. As Balor looked to bring a steel chair into play, the classic Brood music hit as Edge made his fiery return to attack two of the people who put him out of action.

Of course, the Mysterios would pick up the win in this tag contest, with a double 619 being followed by a frog splash from Rey for the 1-2-3.

Edge wasn't the only WWE Hall of Famer to make an appearance at SummerSlam, though, for Kane was another to have a role to play at the Biggest Party of the Summer. There, the Devil's Favourite Demon was utilised to inform the watching masses that there was a crowd of 48,449 in Nashville's Nissan Stadium.
