Two Top AEW Stars Expected To Sign With WWE

These two major AEW favourites are believed to be on their way to WWE.

Hot on the heels of reports about both of their AEW contracts expiring soon, it's now believed that the Lucha Bros are set to depart All Elite Wrestling and head for WWE.

As per Bryan Alvarez over at f4wonline, there is an internal belief within AEW that Penta El Zero Miedo and Rey Fenix will be heading to WWE once their existing contracts are up. On that front, Penta's AEW deal is set to expire at some point in August or September, with Fenix's deal also expiring before the year is out.

The Lucha Bros were due to be involved in a trios match at AEW All In later this month, but those plans have since been changed, seemingly as a result of the duo's impending exit from the company.

AEW Originals, Penta and Fenix have been with Tony Khan's promotion since the inaugural Double or Nothing back in 2019, where they unsuccessfully challenged for the AAA Tag Team Titles held by The Young Bucks. Away from AEW, the Lucha Bros have competed for the likes of AAA, CMLL, IMPACT, MLW, PWG, and, of course, for the brilliant, dearly-missed Lucha Underground.
