UFC 241 Review: 7 Ups And 4 Downs

1. Stipe’s Striking

It may have taken a year for him to finally get a rematch for the UFC Heavyweight Championship, but Stipe Miocic is now once again the UFC Heavyweight Champion.

Even though Daniel Cormier dominated for the first two rounds and a large chunk of the third, Stipe upped his striking game in the fourth round to get the TKO win over DC.

It’s easy to say how Cormier let the fight slip by not capitalising on his clear early advantage, but huge credit has to go to Miocic and his team for recognising that DC was starting to slack in the third round and was allowing himself to become open to Stipe’s brutal striking ability.

From there, the fourth round was all Stipe Miocic and he landed shot after shot on a tiring and stunned Cormier.
