Could a big confrontation with Brock Lesnar be on the cards?

Daniel Cormier's name has been linked to professional wrestling for years, with the current UFC Heavyweight Champion never shy of acknowledging his love of the sport. Now, it looks like the 265lb kingpin is teasing a potential WrestleMania 35 appearance.

Speaking on his next MMA fight during an interview with ESPN, Cormier said that while he doesn't have anything scheduled at the moment, he has "got [his] eyes on Brock Lesnar." He then went one step further, saying "I may go to WWE's WrestleMania and I may go cost him his title over there, so he can hurry up and get to the UFC so I can beat him here."

This isn't the first time that Cormier has been linked with WWE. Last year saw him undergo commentary tryouts amidst reports that new network Fox want SmackDown to adopt more of a "real sport" feel when they inherit the brand in October, and he loves the sport, with this fondness and his MMA promo style natural sources of speculation.

On top of this, Cormier and Lesnar have been linked with a UFC fight for the best part of the year. WrestleMania 35 would make an incredible jump-off point for that, though Vince McMahon giving airtime to hype another promotion's match seems a stretch.
