The Undertaker: 10 Predictions For His Future Now Streak Is Over

9. An Even Playing Field With Sting

One positive thing about the streak ending is it removes the need for Undertaker's storylines to constantly revolve around the concept. Next year he could face Sting at WrestleMania 31 with the key story being WCW icon vs WWF icon. With an even playing field in which either man could lose, it becomes far more engagingly dramatic. If the streak aspect hadn't been removed it would have been a boring feud. We would have all decried that it was too obvious because Sting would never debut and right away get a win of that magnitude. Now with those constraints removed, we can accept the idea that Sting could win that match. There's a genuinely good chance that WWE did indeed end the streak because it had no use in their planned Taker / Sting feud. The ground is now fertile for Sting debuting and challenging The Undertaker at WrestleMania 31, a dream match we all once thought impossible. If this is the case then we might not see or hear of either Undertaker or Sting until next January. At that point the surprise factor of both coming in would be electric.
