Chris Jericho could be looking to take his professional wrestling career full circle by wrestling Lance Storm in his retirement match, whenever that may be.

Storm tweeted the following in response to a fan asking about the situation on Sunday:-

Nothing concrete, then, but if they've talked about it and Lance isn't ruling it out, it can't be taken off the table.

Storm would be a notable "farewell" opponent for Jericho as they came up in the same Canadian independent scene, with Cagematch.net showing that Jericho's first recorded matches saw him teaming with Lance back in 1991. Per the user-drive site, they have worked 90 bouts together, though the real total is likely higher than that.

Their last bout was at ECW One Night Stand 2005, with Storm defeating Jericho in just over seven minutes.

While retirement hopefully isn't something in 'Le Champion's' near future, Storm would, at the very least, be a fitting opponent. Lance's last match came back in April 2016 when he fought Matt Hardy over WrestleMania weekend. He was one of a number of WWE producers placed on furlough on 15 April 2020 and there's currently no word on whether or not he'll return to the company.
