Update On Dustin Rhodes' AEW Status Following Cody's Departure
What's going on with Dustin Rhodes following Brandi and Cody leaving AEW?
It doesn't look like Dustin Rhodes' All Elite Wrestling future will be impacted by his brother and sister-in-law's recent departures.
Dustin tweeted the following in response to Brandi and Cody Rhodes leaving the promotion they helped get off the ground in 2019, stating that he won't be leaving a company he likes working for:-
No I am not leaving. I like it here in @AEW

Minutes later, Dustin offered Cody and Brandi full support on their next move:-
I love my brother #CodyRhodes. I love my sister in law @TheBrandiRhodes .Whatever they decide to do in life, I support 110%. I am sad that they are gone, but the !*$% train keeps moving. ?❤️#LFG

While not quite a day-one AEW employee, given that he was still with WWE when the promotion's launch was announced in January 2019, Dustin has been with the Tony Khan-helmed group since its first proper show. His bout with Cody at the original Double Or Nothing is still held up as one of the best matches in the company history.
Onscreen, Dustin has been aligned with Cody ever since, though the duo weren't attached at the hip in their various endeavours. Behind the scenes, meanwhile, Dustin has a key role in aiding, developing, and training AEW's younger talent, imparting the wisdom learned through his 34-year career to others.
Cody and Brandi's AEW contracts had expired in December 2021. The duo had been working for the company without deals since then.
