Update On Emma's WWE Return From Injury
The sidelined superstar may not be gone much longer.
WWE's Emma hasn't been able to catch a break over the past 12 months.
A serious back injury suffered last May saw her miss nine months of action, and her planned repackaging as Emmalina was scrapped as soon as she returned in February. Emma's Raw comeback recommenced in April, but she suffered an undisclosed shoulder injury during a live event in Liverpool, England earlier this month, and has been absent ever since.
Fortunately, it sounds like she won't be missing for much longer. As per this week's Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Emma is currently expected to return in mid-June. This would almost certainly mean missing next week's Extreme Rules pay-per-view, with the build-up to Great Balls Of Fire (July 9th) a likely return window.
Emma was sent home from WWE's UK tour shortly after suffering the injury, and announced that she'd began rehabbing her shoulder on May 14th.
Emma was seemingly set to feud with former NXT ally Dana Brooke before her latest injury, and could resume the storyline upon returning. Brooke hasn't wrestled on Raw since May 1st, and with most of the division tied-up in other feuds, it's an easy option for the creative team.
