Update On Jimmy Snuka Legal Situation

Arraignment is scheduled for next month in Pennsylvania.

WWE Hall of Famer "Superfly" Jimmy Snuka is scheduled to undergo arraignment for charges of third-degree murder and involuntary manslaughter on November 2. The arraignment will take place at 11:00 a.m. ET in LeHigh Valley, Pennsylvania in front of judge Kelly L. Banach. WhatCulture previously noted that Snuka had been scheduled for a preliminary hearing back on September 21. However, the arraignment scheduled for November 2 will move the legal process forward faster than originally expected. The defense and prosecution have now both agreed to bypass the originally planned preliminary hearings and move right to trial. This is looked at as being beneficial for both sides. For the prosecution, this allows the family of the late Nancy Argentino to move closer to justice for the murder which took place over 30 years ago. In the case of the defense, they will receive access to grand jury transcripts as part of the deal. As we have previously reported, Jimmy Snuka was indicted by a grand jury on third degree murder and involuntary manslaughter charges last month. The indictment came about due to the case being re-opened following inconsistencies found in Snuka's recollection of the 1983 murder of his then girlfriend, Nancy Argentino. The smoking gun was Snuka's autobiography, released a few years back, where he wrote of Argentino slipping and hitting her head after leaving their parked car to use the restroom. At the time of the murder, Snuka told authorities that he and Nancy had been playing around outside of their hotel room in Allentown, PA when he pushed his girlfriend and she fell to the ground, hitting her head.
