Update On Jon Moxley's AEW/NJPW Injury Status

When will we see the 'Purveyor of Violence' again?

News that Jon Moxley had suffered a bout of MRSA in one of his elbows rocked All Elite Wrestling the week before All Out, with the former Dean Ambrose forced to pull out of his much-hyped match with Kenny Omega.

PAC came in as a replacement. The duo ended up having a critically acclaimed match in Chicago, albeit one lacking Moxley vs. Omega's story and heat. Now, it looks like the current IWGP United States Heavyweight Champion will be forced to go under the knife to treat his condition.

This is according to Wrestling Observer Radio, who note that it's currently unclear whether or not this will change when he returns.

Moxley's name was nowhere to be found when NJPW released their Destruction tour cards yesterday. The 'Purveyor Of Violence' was originally pegged to face rival Juice Robinson with their current series at 1-1, though this will now have to wait for King of Pro Wrestling on 14 October instead.

Whether 'Mox' goes under the knife or not, here's hoping the red-hot star is able to make a swift recovery. His post-WWE run has provided one of the year's most exciting wrestling stories so far.
