Update On Kylie Rae's Impact Status After Bound For Glory 2020
Rae was originally booked to wrestle Deonna Purrazzo last weekend.
Kylie Rae was pulled from Impact Wrestling's Bound For Glory pay-per-view this weekend, leaving Su Yung to step in against Knockouts Champion Deonna Purrazzo, taking the gold in the process.
Purrazzo responded to the apparent no-show by issuing an open challenge, hence Yung's involvement, with Bryan Alvarez of Figure Four Online/the Wrestling Observer reported that Rae had suffered a "non-serious injury." The same outlet was told later on that this wasn't the case, and Fightful is now reported that talent were not made aware of an injury even if the office knew of one.
Several wrestlers who drove to the pay-per-view with Kylie on Friday confirmed to Fightful that she was in Nashville for the show. Rae was asking about call times for Saturday as well, but failed to appear when required. Per the report, concern for Rae grew throughout Saturday, with Impact making the Yung decision that afternoon.
Wrestlers who attempted to contact people close to Rae were informed she is "alive and well," with no further information going public. According to PWInsider, Impact chose not to comment on the situation out of respect for Kylie.
Rae is expected to return to Impact when able to.
