Update On Miro's Injury Status After AEW Dynamite

If you're wondering why Miro was hobbling after being sent outside the ring on this week's episode of AEW Dynamite, it's because 'The Best Man' legitimately tweaked his ankle.

Miro was hurt while teaming with Kip Sabian to face Joey Janela and Sonny Kiss. The good news is that the former Rusev felt fine after the bout was over, so while the injury was legitimate, it was relatively minor and he is doing okay now.

This is according to Bryan Alverez on Wrestling Observer Live.

Miro scored the victory for his team, tapping Kiss out with his Game Over submission, formerly The Accolade. He has since paid tribute to his opponents on Twitter:-

Debuting for AEW on the 9 September episode of Dynamite, Miro will serve as the storyline best man in Sabian's wedding to Penelope Ford. Last week saw him tasked with organising a bachelor party for 'Superbad,' though AEW is already teasing tension, with Miro stating that he just wanted to hit the ring and maul somebody.

The storyline always looked like a rib on Miro's last WWE arc, in which he partook in a "love square" with real-life wife Lana, Bobby Lashley, and Liv Morgan.
