Three months after walking out on WWE Raw, Neville's professional wrestling career remains in limbo.

The former Cruiserweight Champion stepped away amid rumours of a long-held frustration stemming from his booking. Reports that he was on the verge of being released dominated early October, but the Englishman has yet to part ways with the company, and remains under contract.

The Wrestling Observer's Dave Meltzer tweeted the following when asked about the situation this weekend:-

This is in-line with the past few months of reporting. From a business standpoint, WWE have no real reason to let Neville go, as they know he'd likely be a huge asset to one of their competitors. Professionally, though, forcing him to sit out his contract seems petty. WWE are well within their rights, but they're actively detracting from the former NXT Champion's career at a time when he has never been more prominent.

The last significant development in the Neville situation came on November 13th, when it was speculated that he'd held positive talks with the company. This didn't lead to a return, and unless one side concedes, the Englishman will remain sidelined and under contract.
