Update On Rumours Of WWE Sending Main Roster Stars To NXT

A couple of main roster names were subjected to NXT speculation during the 2023 WWE Draft.

Mustafa Ali and Aliyah were not sent from WWE's main roster to NXT as part of the 2023 Draft, despite rumours to the contrary.

The NXT speculation stemmed from fake social media graphics depicting official WWE accounts claiming Aliyah and Ali had been re-assigned to developmental, which did the rounds over the weekend. Fightful Select has now moved to kill the rumours, stating that the duo had not been moved to Tuesday nights "despite the phony graphic going around on social media."

Both wrestlers went undrafted as WWE wrapped its first roster reshuffle since 2021 on last night's Raw. Ali enters the pool of free agents, while Aliyah was never advertised as part of the Draft, having been idle in WWE for several months now.

Mustafa had been a Raw wrestler prior to the 2023 Draft. Aliyah, meanwhile, found her home on SmackDown, though she has been out of action for around six months now, having initially been ruled out through injury.

GiveMeSport/WrestleVotes reported the following on Aliyah's status recently:-

Aliyah’s name is not discussed in WWE creative meetings at all. At this time, nobody knows what her status is, but she’s not being used.
