Adam Pearce must be loving life these days.

The chief authority figure on Raw and SmackDown was "instrumental" in putting together both Royal Rumble matches this past Sunday. Fightful dished that news on their Patreon page, then said that other WWE officials received his efforts very well behind the scenes.

Other reports suggest that Vince McMahon wasn't in attendance at the ThunderDome over the weekend - this presumably means that guys like Pearce had more responsibility to ensure the Rumble bouts went off without a hitch.

It'd also be interesting to know if this is the first Rumble pay-per-view in history that McMahon has missed.

Pearce was originally installed as a red herring challenger for Roman Reigns and the Universal Title on episodes of SmackDown leading up to the pay-per-view. Then, WWE revealed that Kevin Owens would actually get another crack at Reigns instead.

Fightful's report claims that scripts for the Rumble were 100% ready by Sunday morning too. That, as most who follow coverage from The Wrestling Observer will know, isn't always the case. In fact, plans can change right up until show time.

Not on Sunday.
