As announced on this week's 205 Live, WWE are set to introduce a UK-based Network show as part of their ongoing British expansion.

WWE brought-out a number of UK stars including inaugural champion Tyler Bate for the announcement, though no further details were provided.

This week's Wrestling Observer Newsletter offers new information. According to the report, WWE's scheduled UK tapings in Norwich, England on May 6th and 7th will be for the new weekly series, with each broadcast set to last an hour. Though there has been talk of airing on British broadcast television, WWE haven't put a deal together, and the show will remain a Network exclusive for now.

The news that WWE are attempting to strike a TV deal is particularly noteworthy given World of Sport's impending return to ITV later this year, and suggests WWE's willingness to compete with the broadcasting giant.

There's still no word on a specific start date, but the series is expected to debut by the end of summer. The tapings sit in the middle of a seven-date UK tour, in which a number of wrestlers from WWE's successful UK Title tournament will compete alongside Raw & SmackDown superstars.
