Update: WWE Released Zelina Vega BEFORE Her "Unionization" Tweet

Also, how long is it before Zelina could show up elsewhere?

POST Wrestling are reporting that Zelina Vega knew about her impending WWE release before tweeting out, "I support unionization".

According to the site's sources, that tweet had nothing to do with WWE's decision - it was something they were already aware of anyway. However, it is true that Vega and WWE didn't see eye-to-eye on third party apps like Twitch.

PWInsider's Elite subscription service added fuel to that particular fire by stating that Zelina had continued to work third party even after WWE stars had met with Vince McMahon on 30 October to discuss how they'd proceed going forwards.

It's believed Vega's termination comes with a standard 90-day "no-compete" clause. That'll keep her off television until at least mid-February, but she could (in theory) sign with AEW and show up at their Revolution pay-per-view on 27 Feb.

For now though, Vega seems happy enough doing her own thing. She told fans on Twitch that she wouldn't retire from wrestling, and also took the time out to thank WWE for everything over the past few years. Zelina doesn't seem bitter about anything, which is refreshing.
