WWE's next pay-per-view, Extreme Rules 2020, goes down on Sunday 19 July, and last night's Raw brought the first couple of bouts.

WWE Champion Drew McIntyre will defend his belt against Dolph Ziggler. This came about in the night's opening segment, with Ziggler interrupting McIntyre to let him know that he'd been traded to Raw alongside ally Robert Roode, who is currently stuck in Canada due to the ongoing global health crisis. Having previously teamed with McIntyre and facilitated his move from NXT to the main roster, 'The Show-Off' claimed Drew owed him one. Thus, the challenge was laid down, and the champ accepted despite criticising his former partner's revisionist history.

Sasha Banks will also challenge for Asuka's Raw Women's Championship after teasing a move on partner Bayley's SmackDown belt, before throwing down the gauntlet to 'The Empress of Tomorrow.' Asuka said yes, having already retained her belt against Charlotte Flair that night, but was beaten down by Banks to close their segment.
