WWE added a new match to Sunday's Hell In A Cell 2020 pay-per-view on Friday's episode of SmackDown.

The episode included a barmy court case segment judged by JBL (of all people). It played out like more of a 'wrestler's court' skit than a proper court case, as you'd expect, and ended when The Miz bribed Layfield so he'd get a shot at Otis' Money In The Bank briefcase this weekend.

That's how this interminable legal stuff that's been blighting SmackDown for months ended: The Miz will now go one-on-one with Otis at Hell In A Cell, and the winner will receive that sought-after case with the guaranteed title match contract inside it.

Don't forget that both men are now on different brands post-WWE Draft.

JBL originally ruled in favour of Otis and against Miz's "negligence" claims before changing his mind due to the bribe.

Other matches on tap for HIAC are Jeff Hardy vs. Elias and three Cell bouts - Drew McIntyre vs. Randy Orton for the WWE Title, Bayley vs. Sasha Banks for the SmackDown Women's Title and Roman Reigns vs. Jey Uso for the Universal Title.
