The semi-finals for this year's WWE King of the Ring and the first ever Queen's Crown tournament are set following the events of last night's Raw.

Next week's Raw will play host to Xavier Woods vs. Jinder Mahal, who'll compete for a spot in the finals after emerging triumphant over Ricochet and Kofi Kingston respectively on Raw. They'll meet the winner of Finn Balor vs. Sami Zayn, which takes place on this Friday's episode of SmackDown.

Meanwhile, in the Queen's Crown competition, SmackDown will host Zelina Vega vs. Carmella after the heels were victorious over Toni Storm and Liv Morgan last week. The semi-finals will then be concluded when Doudrop wrestles Shanya Baszler on Raw. Doudrop beat Natalya to reach this stage, while Baszler flattened Dana Brooke.

Both the King of the Ring and Queen's Crown tournaments will conclude at Crown Jewel 2021 on 21 October. There is currently no word on who WWE plans on booking to win these competitions, though it's likely safe to assume that Balor will best Zayn in this week's semi, given Sami's prior lack of participation in WWE's Saudi Arabian pay-per-views (owing to his Syrian heritage).
