Updates On WWE Survior Series' Traditional Elimination Matches
WWE's next big inter-brand PPV is taking shape.
WWE Survivor Series 2016 doesn't take place until November 20th, but the card is already coming together. Raw have this weekend's Hell In A Cell PPV to get through before making any moves, but SmackDown's teams for Survivor Series' traditional elimination matches started falling into place last night.
Nikki Bella and Natalya fought for the right to captain SmackDown's women's team against their Raw counterparts, and though she was wiped-out by Carmella post-match, Nikki scored the win with John Cena's STFU. The result means that Natalya will not be allowed on the team, despite starting her campaign for inclusion last week.
Survivor Series will also feature a 10-on-10 elimination match between tag teams from both brands. Heath Slater & Rhyno have already been announced as participants, and they'll now be joined by The Hype Bros, who defeated The Ascension to earn their spot in the match.
The show's final elimination match will feature male singles wrestlers, though the first participants are still to be announced. John Cena is listed for the event, and should be considered a leading candidate to captain the SmackDown side.
As has already been reported, the long-awaited Brock Lesnar vs. Goldberg match will also take place at Survivor Series.
