VICE Cancelling Dark Side Of The Ring?

It doesn't look like Dark Side Of The Ring will return for a fourth season.

VICE has left all mention of their often-controversial 'Dark Side Of The Ring' series off programming reveals for the rest of 2022 and 2023.

The show ran for three seasons, and was the talk of the pro wrestling world following last year's 'Plane Ride From Hell' episode. Recently, AEW announcer Jim Ross also told fans that he was "misrepresented" during talking head bits on several broadcasts - that left the commentary legend frustrated, although he did also praise the show's producers for their hard work.

Now, it doesn't look like VICE are interested in producing a fourth series.

Interestingly enough, Dark Side has been VICE TV's biggest draw in terms of ratings. Numbers had definitely hit the skids though. The third season averaged around 186,000 viewers per episode, which was down from 241,000 during the second series.

That, to compare, followed approx 201,000 per show during the first season.

Some wrestling fans will be disappointed if VICE do cancel plans for a fourth series. Dark Side's producers had become adept at exploring seedy/disturbing stories from the industry's past, but it seems VICE would like to move on.
