Last week brought reports that NXT star Johnny Gargano had suffered a "scary" head bump while wrestling Ridge Holland during a set of television tapings, with the footage finally airing last night.

Here's the spot in question:-

It's a horrible, horrible bump, with Holland's attempted scoop Powerslam going all kinds of wrong.

WWE has even acknowledged the spot themselves:-

Gargano ended up recovering to defeat Holland and qualify for the North American Championship ladder match at TakeOver XXX this weekend. Their bout was a second chance qualifier, with both men previously failing to win Triple Threat matches, but crucially not getting pinned or submitted.

'Johnny Wrestling' took the victory after Candice LeRae's interference, defeating Holland following a low blow and One Last Beat.

It was reported last week that while the Holland/Gargano had to be stopped for several minutes while medics tended to the fallen star, Gargano was ultimately okay. He is said to have felt so bad about the spot that he went around the building personally apologising to various personnel afterwards.

The good news coming out of all of this, of course, is that he appears to be totally fine, having punched his TakeOver ticket.
