Vince McMahon Unanimously Elected WWE's Chairman Of The Board

WWE formalises Vince McMahon's return as Chairman of the Board in unanimous vote.

Vince McMahon has unanimously been voted in as WWE's Executive Chairman of the Board, doing so in the wake of daughter Stephanie's shock resignation as co-CEO and Chairwoman.

The promotion has issued the following release, which feature's Vince's first official comments on Stephanie's departure, as well as notes from Stephanie herself and Nick Khan:-

WWE BOARD OF DIRECTORS UNANIMOUSLY ELECTS VINCE MCMAHON EXECUTIVE CHAIRMAN OF THE BOARD
STAMFORD, Conn., January 10, 2023– WWE (NYSE: WWE) today announced that its Board of Directors unanimously elected Vince McMahon Executive Chairman of the Board.
Stephanie McMahon has resigned from her roles as Chairwoman and Co-CEO.
Nick Khan will serve as WWE CEO.

The formalisation of Vince's new role as WWE's Executive Chairman comes less than a week after his return to the Board of Directors. A move the 77-year-old had been attempting to engineer for weeks came to fruition six months after his July 2022 resignation, which came amidst reports he had paid tens of millions of dollars to suppress sexual assault allegations.
