Vince McMahon Unhappy With Last Night's WWE Survivor Series 2019 Main Event

Lynch vs. Bayley vs. Baszler was a major disappointment for the WWE Chairman.

For the most part, last night’s Survivor Series delivered one of the best WWE PPVs of the year. Sure, that’s maybe not saying much, but there’s no doubting that Survivor Series featured some great matches and moments.

While several of the cross-brand matches that saw Raw vs. SmackDown vs. NXT have rightly won plentiful praise from fans, it appears that the PPV’s main event triple-threat contest didn’t win over one particular person. And unfortunately for the ladies involved in that main event, the person not impressed by that match was Vince McMahon.

According to the usually reliable WrestleVotes, McMahon saw Raw Women’s Champion Becky Lynch vs. SmackDown Women’s Champion Bayley vs. NXT Women’s Champion Shayna Baszler as a “major disappointment”.

To be fair to Vince, he wasn’t the only one who felt that the Survivor Series main event was a little lacklustre. The decision to have Baszler emerge victorious seems like the right call to have made, yet the match itself just felt dull and often fell flat with the in-attendance crowd and with those watching at home.

Whether McMahon follows through on his disappointment by making any changes to the current product, we’ll have to wait and see. After all, it’s not like Vince is an erratic old man known for kneejerk reactions and changing plans on the fly…
